If you are looking for a well-equipped MOT testing centre in the New Costessey area, then you have reached the right place. Our MOT bay uses the latest test equipment and we also have a digital decelerometer for testing linked brake systems. We can also carry out MOT preparation for bikes such as Piaggio MP3, Gilera Fuoco, etc., which have twin front wheels.
MOT Testing
We provide a warm clean place for you to view your bike's test via a video linked screen in our waiting area, located in our showroom,
and we'll make you a cup of tea or coffee if you'd like one.
Our MOT bay uses the latest specification equipment including a roller brake tester which weighs the bike and measures brake effort and fluctuation, and also a digital decelerometer for testing linked brake systems used on many modern motorcycles.
When presenting your motorcycle for an MOT test please ensure that it has sufficient oil, fuel and coolant where applicable, also please make sure it's not too dirty so testable components are clearly visible.
MOT Fees:
Solo Motorcycle or Scooter: £29.65
Motorcycle and sidecar combination: £37.80
RETESTS:
No Additional Fee (Partial Re-Examination of minor items):
If your motorcycle is brought back before the end of the next 'working day'* for failing it's test on one or more of the following items:
• Fuel filler cap
• Lighting or signalling faults (not requiring a headlamp aim check)
• Horn
• Rear reflectors
• Registration plates
• Sharp edges or projections
No Additional Fee:
If the vehicle is left with us for repair and is able to be retested within 10 'working days'* then no retest fee is applicable.
Half Fee (Re-Examination) :
If your motorcycle leaves the MOT station after failing it's MOT test and is returned within 10 'working days'* then a £15.00 retest fee applies.
* 'Working days' do not include Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays.
Only one Partial Re-Examination is permissible per full examination
In any other case of a full re-examination - Full Fee
